About Magic

Magic is a 50' Pacifica sportfishing yacht with twin diesel engines, which provide a smooth superior ride. Magic not only looks beautiful on the outside, she has all the comforts of home on the inside; air conditioning, television, VCR, stereo system, beds and a comfortable seating area.

Magic is available for day charters accommodating up to six passengers. Everything is provided for the charter except for your personal lunch and beverages.

The Captain:

Our captain is Russell Tanaka who has over 20 years of experience in commercial fishing in the Hawaiian waters holds several distinctions: the only skipper in the world to have caught the largest fish in a tournament weighing in at over a 1,000 pounds - TWICE! And the only skipper in Hawai'i who has caught three marlins over 1,000 pounds! Russell gifted with natural fishing instincts combined with a lifetime of experience in Hawai'in waters maintains a 95% catch rate assuring that if fish are out their he's going to bring them in.  To learn more about the crew, Gary and Chris can be found here.

Gear Type:

On Magic we use Penn & Shimano 130's and Penn 50's with Fin-nor Rods.

Fish Disposition:

The boat will fillet servings for 20 for fish caught under 100lbs. to take with you on Private Full Day Charters, and 1-2lbs per person for fish caught under 100lbs. on shared trips. We will also make arrangements for mounting.
